Maureen Walczak, PhD
I'm a paleoceanographer in the College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University.
My research focuses on Earth's climate systems on timescales beyond direct human observation, particularly ocean circulation, marine productivity, and interactions between the ocean and glaciers.
Understanding the drivers of natural climate change and the rates at which those changes occur provides context for our modern environment, essential to making smart near-future decisions about where to invest and where to retreat.
